Electing John McCain is crucial to National Security
We recently saw the results of this point with the Supreme Court ruling in Boumediene v. Bush. By a one-person majority, the court determined that the existing rules governing detainees — the most generous ever afforded by a nation to non-citizens — were insufficient. Instead, it substituted the judgment of the court for the accumulated wisdom of elected officials to produce a decision that makes America less safe. Barack Obama will nominate judges to the courts that will farther undermine our Nation’s ability to fight the War on Terror. Sending Mark Begich to Washington will strengthen the Senate Democrat’s plan to stack the courts with ultra liberal judges. John McCain has pledged to name judges who will fulfill their role of interpreting the Constitution, not legislate from the bench.
